Sell a Product to a Client

Any product you’ve configured in Appilates and marked as a Public offer can be purchased directly by clients via your website or the App.

This chapter outlines how you and your staff can conduct purchases on behalf of clients — including front-desk sales in your studio.

Start the Purchase

Option A
Navigate to a client profile in Appilates, open the Sales tab, and tap Assign products or credits to begin.

Option B
Go to Sales > Passes and Products, select a product from your catalogue, and tap Sell product. You’ll be prompted to choose a client in the first step.

Note: Staff permissions control access to this feature. If the button is missing, your account may not have the required permission from the studio owner.

Product and Price

Staff users can select any product and, if permitted, adjust the purchase price to apply a discount.
Manual price changes during checkout require owner-level permission. If the price field is locked, you’ll need approval from the studio owner to proceed with discounted sales.

Choose Payment Options

This step defines the payment method — Online, Cash, or Invoice — and allows you to mark the payment as Already paid if applicable.

Setup Payment

This is the standard method to complete a purchase. Each option below generates a PDF invoice and lets you add transaction notes:

Sends a purchase offer to the client without committing the sale. The product and class-pass credits are only assigned once the client completes checkout.
The client receives an email and sees the offer in their App dashboard.

Similar to the purchase link, but the product and class-passes are assigned immediately.
The payment link leads to a credit card checkout. Until paid, the amount is recorded as an unpaid credit.

Use Credit or Debit Card

Processes a direct credit card payment — ideal for counter sales without an external card reader.

Send an Invoice

Completes the purchase and issues an invoice marked as unpaid. You can update the payment status once funds are received.

Cash

Completes the purchase and issues a cash invoice. The system tracks the owed amount as a negative balance until paid.
If a client with a cash credit arrives for class, this will be visible in their record and the Today view.

Already Paid

Use this option when:

  • Processing front-desk sales paid via cash or external card reader
  • Assigning a product as a refund or goodwill gesture, without recording it as income

Finalize the Sale

Tap Next to proceed to the final step.

You’ll see a summary screen to review your selections, or—if using credit card payment—the secure checkout interface to complete the transaction.
