Importing clients into Appilates is quick and easy! Just follow these simple steps:

How to Import Clients:

  1. Export your client list as a CSV file from your current system.
  2. Navigate to the Studio Configuration section in Appilates.
  3. Click Import Contacts.
  4. Upload your CSV file.

Need help?

  • Make sure your file is saved as CSV (not Excel or another format).
  • Check that your columns include 'First name' and 'Email'.
  • Edit headers if needed, then save again as CSV.
  • If your system doesn't export files:
    • Copy and paste your client list into a spreadsheet, then save as CSV.
    • Or, just copy some client names and paste them into PIA for help.

Using the Import Assistant:

  • Click 'Next' or 'Back' to navigate steps.
  • Select your CSV file.
  • Match your columns to Appilates fields — the assistant will guide you.

Quick Tips:

  • Key columns: first name, last name, email, date of birth.
  • Medical info? Assign it to 'Medicals'.
  • Notes? Use the 'Note' field.
  • Keep existing client IDs by mapping to 'Client-ID', or ignore if not needed.

Final Step:

  • Preview your import, review, and edit if needed. The app checks for duplicates to avoid creating multiple entries.

Inviting Clients:

  • When your studio goes live, go to Studio Configuration to invite clients.
  • The Assistant helps you send invites to new clients.
